About Annie Brown

I create needle felted paintings made from wools such as Alpaca, Corriedale, Blue Faced Leicester, Jacob, Lincoln Longwool, Merino, Shetland, Soay and Wensleydale. I try to use as much locally sourced wool as possible. We have our own rare breed sheep, Lincoln Longwool and Wensleydale. These have beautiful long curly staples of wool.  I also dye the wool to use in my paintings.

My inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural world, the landscape around me and the ever changing seasons.

I come from a Fine Art background, gaining my degree from KIAD, Canterbury. I have a postgraduate in teaching from the University of Cambridge.

I run needle felting workshops for Women's Aid and at The Sheep Shop in Cambridge. Examples of my work can be seen here too. If you would like to know more about my workshops or my work, please don't hesitate to contact me.
